James “Jim” Collier
Celebration of Life service will be 2PM Saturday April 7, 2018 at Hokes Bluff 1st United Methodist Church Family Life Center for James “Jim” Collier, age, 52, of Hokes Bluff, who passed away on April 4, 2018. Rev. Eddie Gooch will officiate. Cremation provided by Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home and Cemetery.
Jim was a member of Hokes Bluff 1st United Methodist Church and former drummer in the praise team. He graduated from Etowah High School in 1985. He was former Assistant Manager of Walgreens.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Leon and Joan Collier, mother-in-law Doris Edmondson, grandparents: J.L. and Irene Brunson, Benjamin and Sadie Collier, brothers-in-law: Gary Vandegrift, David Edmondson and Jim Raley, nieces: Jessica Breeden and Laura Knight, nephew: Jared Raley.
He is survived by his wife Vicki, sons: Josh and Jake, sisters: Debbie (Dan) Murphy, Daphne (Jason) Stewart, Jackie (David Yates) Collier, Harold (Sue Ellen) Edmondson, Paul (Debbie) Edmondson, sisters-in-law: Brenda Vandegrift, Mitzi Edmondson, Nora (David) Edwards, chosen brother John (Sandy) O’Neal and many nieces and nephews.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Interpersonal Group #11 Sunday School Class and Hokes Bluff 1st United Methodist Church.
