Troy Lamar Langley
Graveside services will be at 5:30 PM Thursday July 26, 2018 at Young’s Chapel Cemetery for Troy Lamar Langley, 76, of Hokes Bluff, who passed away peacefully at home, on July 23, 2018. Rev. Roger Griffith will officiate. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home and Cemetery is in charge of services.
Mr. Troy “Lamar” Langley attended Hokes Bluff High School. He married Myrtle Faye Hughes and had 4 boys. He was a truck driver for most of his adult life until he had to retire in 2001. He enjoyed spending time with his family and taking care of his cat “Dixie.” He enjoyed watching Nascar, Atlanta Braves and Auburn Football.
He is preceded in death by his parents: David Henderson & Minnie Ruth Langley, brothers: Edward, Donald, and Glenn, wife: Myrtle Faye Langley (mother of their sons) and Judy McGinnis Langley.
He is survived by his sons: Mike, Frank (Tina), Scott (Dana), and Jeff (Esther), grandchildren: Eric, Daniel, Jessica, Devan (Evan), Kendall (Matt), Drew, Kayla (Cody) and Zack, 11 great grandchildren, brothers: Randall (Diana), Hoyt and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Daniel, Drew, Zach, Evan, Matt, and Cody.
Honorary Pallbearers will be friends and family.
Special thanks to Amedysis Hospice (Hannah), caretaker and sitter Misty Habyan, and Dr. Steve Sanders.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 3 to 5 PM.
