Thomas Marland Wiggonton Sr.September 20, 1935 ~ September 2, 2017 (age 81)
Memorial Services for Thomas Marland Wiggonton, Sr., age 81 of Gadsden, who passed away September 2, 2017 will be held Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 2 PM at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Chapel. Rev. Jay Stewart, Tommy Wiggonton, Jr., Terry Dunn, and Frank Bailey will officiate. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home will be in charge.
Mr. Wiggonton was a graduate of Emma Samson High School and received his Master’s Degree from Trinity College focusing on Biblical Counseling. Mr. Wiggonton was a police officer for many years and a member of the Alabama Army National Guard. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Recruiter. After Mr. Wiggonton’s retirement, he worked for many years part-time as manager at Johnson’s Giant Foods. He became an ordained minister and enjoyed helping and counseling others. Mr. Wiggonton was of the Baptist Faith and lived life to the fullest with a passion to always help others.
He was preceded in death by his Wife, Myra Wiggonton; His parents: William “Nap” Howard and Bernice Louise Wiggonton; Sister, Margaret Ulrich; and Brother David Wiggonton.
He is survived by his Sons, Tommy (Delaine) Wiggonton and Michael (Alisha) Wiggonton; Daughters, Melissa (Johnny) Alford and Shanna (Lamar) Jackson; Sister, Elizabeth “Liz” Faulkner; numerous grandchildren great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; Special Friends, Timmy Dunn, Frank Bailey, and Jack’s (Alabama City) Coffee Club Guys along with many other friends.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to time of service Sunday at the funeral Home.
