Samuel Ray Kilgo
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday January 16, 2019 at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home for Samuel Ray Kilgo, age 77, of Glencoe, who passed away on Sunday January 13, 2019. Max Grizzard and Steve Holland will officiate. Burial will follow at Morton’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home and Cemetery is in charge of services.
Ray formerly served as a Deacon of New Hope Baptist Church. He was an ASE certified Toyota Technician. He enjoyed camping trips and traveling to the Smokey Mountains.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Samuel and Floy Kilgo, brother: Ronald Kilgo and sister, Alene Minton.
He is survived by his wife: Peggy Goble Kilgo; daughters: Linda (Scott) Morris, Debbie (Alan) Cushing, Sherrie (Max) Grizzard; grandchildren: Katie Morris (Fl.), Chelsea Willingham, Anthony Morris, Emily Knight, Nathan Heflin, Evelyn Subias, Susanna Blessing, Jonathan, Wesley, Maggie, Jenna and Phillip Grizzard; great-grandchildren: Audrey and Ivey Knight, Braylon and Baylor Blessing, Hayden and Elsie Subias; brother: Paul (Joyce) Kilgo.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Morris, Jonathan, Wesley, and Phillip Grizzard, Nathan Heflin, Kipp Knight, Thomas Willingham, Brian Blessing and Cyley Subias.
