Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 20th, at Jones Chapel
Missionary Baptist Church cemetery for Mary Dolores "Mary D" Patterson, age 76, of
Hokes Bluff who went to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 17, 2018. The
Reverends Kenneth Patterson and Bruce Jenkins will officiate. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff
Funeral Horne and Cemetery is in charge of services.
Mrs. Patterson first met her Lord and Savior when she was saved in April of 1964 at
Sardis Hill Baptist Church. She served God as a pastor's wife to her husband, Kenneth,
for 49 years. She also served her Lord as mother to their 5 children. Her hobbies and
interests were simple; she had a love for reading which she passed on to her children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Chester Butler and Myrtle Butler Williams,
and two brothers, Gary Butler and Steve Butler.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Reverend Kenneth Patterson. Sons; Kevin
(Kayla) Patterson and Tim (Lisa) Patterson. Daughters; Tammy (David) Davenport,
Kelly (Dennis) Peace, and Natasha (Anthony) Sandridge. Special sister, Donna Butler.
Honorary father, Brother Dennis Johnson. Honorary adopted son, Randall (Dot)
McClellan. 47 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and
loved ones. Special friends Barbara McClellan and David Battles.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Scott Lee, Matthew Lee, Josh Brothers, Cody Cross, Robert
Patterson, and nephew Anthony Butler.
