Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel for Jerry Stephen “Steve” Pearson, 65, of Hokes Bluff who passed away on March 3, 2018. Pastors Thom Harrison, Cecil Loyd, and Adam Ragsdale will officiate. Entombment will follow at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Cherokee Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home & Cemetery is in charge of the services.
Mr. Pearson was a 1971 graduate of Sand Rock High School. He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber after 42 years of service. He was a member of North Glencoe Baptist Church where he was a deacon. He was an avid Alabama fan and member of the Red Elephant Club, loved going to the lake and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years; Frances Cothran Pearson, children; Mandy (Jason) Brittain and Jerrett (Debbie) Pearson, grandchildren; Alex (Colton) Godfrey, Lake Gilbert, Emma Grace Pearson, Jaelyn Brittain, and Asher Brittain, great grandchild; Eden Claire Godfrey, parents; Jerry and Marceline Pearson, Sand Rock, sister; Patti (Randy) Liles, brother; Harold (Shelba) Pearson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Steve Fleming, Gary Graves, Donnie England, Ed White, Gene Cox, Phillip Pearson, Jerry Eubanks, Rodney Roberts, Tim Hardy, Bobby Carroll, and Joe Morgan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Evans, Allen Pearson, Mack Starling, Jeremy Pearson, Tom Liles and Frank Miller.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday night at the funeral home.
