Henry “Hank” Lane
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday June 16, 2018 at Glencoe Hokes Bluff Chapel for Henry “Hank” Lane age, 61, of Hokes Bluff, who passed away on June 13, 2018. Dr. Dave Roberts will officiate. Burial will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home and Cemetery is in charge of services.
Hank graduated from Hokes Bluff High School in 1974. He studied small engine maintenance and repair at Alabama Technical College. He began work as a Mechanic at Anniston Army Depot in 2006. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was an avid Hunter and had a compassion for rescue dogs, with his constant companion being cattle dog Huey. He loved the country and the Family Farm and frequently enjoyed exploring the property with Huey. He served in the U.S. Army from 1975-1977 and was a real American patriot.
He is preceded in death by his mother: Charlsie Lane (1986), Father: George (Pap) Lane (2006), maternal grandfather: Henry Weathington (1987), maternal grandmother: Mary Edna Weathington, paternal grandfather: Mack Lane and paternal grandmother Bertha Lane.
He is survived by his wife of thirty seven years: Rosemarie Lane, brother: Herman Eugene (Susanne) Lane, Goldvein, Va., brother: Michael Jayson Lane, Lake Frederick, Va., two adorable nieces Lilley Lane and Isabella Lane, and also numerous cousins.
Pallbearers will be Ron Johnson, Cody Lane, Jaquay Burns, Noah Davenport, Donald Sims, and Ricky McCallister.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Bishop, Don Harcrow, Randy Weathington, Larry Lane, Division Chief Mike Rodgers and all fellow employees, Building 102 at Anniston Army Depot.
Special thanks to Camelia Hospice, especially Dr. Dave Roberts (Chaplain), Brandon Thrasher (Nurse), Randi Alvarado (Nurse Aide), and LeAnn Black (Coordinator).
