Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Friday, June 2, 2017 at Crestwood Cemetery for Lula Frances Muskett Davies, 88, of Hokes Bluff who died peacefully at her home on May 31, 2017. Rev. Jack Campbell will officiate. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home & Cemetery is in charge of the services.
Lou was born on April 26th 1929 in Gadsden, Alabama to William Arden and Lula Mae Muskett. She graduated from Emma Samson High School in 1947 where she was recognized as the most outstanding female in her senior class. She married Jack Davies of Hokes Bluff. Lou had a long career working at Allis Chalmers for 30 years. Lou was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend. She loved her Auburn Tigers and pretended to love Alabama when her niece was a student there. She was a generous and witty individual who loved her family and most of all her husband, Jack. She attended Hokes Bluff First Methodist Church with her husband.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William Arden Muskett and Lula Mae Yeager Muskett of Gadsden, Alabama, brothers, Reverend Tom (Lucille) Muskett, Virgil Muskett, Robert (Billie) Muskett, and Jim Muskett of Gadsden, Alabama, sisters, Willie Mae Muskett (Ralph) Boles of Ft. Myers, Florida and Annie Jo Muskett (Gordon) Banholzer of Huntsville, Alabama.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Davies, sisters, Mary Warren of Starkville, Mississippi and Betty (Bill) Hawkins of Moody, Alabama, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
