A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at North Glencoe Baptist Church for Lee Bennett Jackson of Gadsden. Cremation services provided by Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home & Cemetery.

Lee was Co-owner of Jackson Concrete Co. and retired as Commander with Gadsden Fire Department.

Lee had such a love for children. He attended Clown College and was professionally known as Bingo, where he ministered to children at local hospitals and events. He was an avid motorcyclist and was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association and the Red Knights Motorcycle Association. Lee loved the outdoors and spent many years hunting and fishing, with last few years spent kayaking the Terrapin Creek.

Lee renewed his life in Christ years ago and was faithful participant in Celebrate Recovery at North Glencoe Baptist Church where he regularly attended services. He was such a witness for Christ and what He can do in your life, if you invite Him in. Lee was burdened with desire to see all of his family and friends saved by the Grace of God and to know where they would spend eternity.

Lee’s greatest joy was his son, Heath and grandson, Tre. He tried to never miss an opportunity to go with Heath to see Tre play baseball and could not have been any prouder of them both.

Lee would want all that knew him to examine their lives and know without a doubt that they knew his Lord and Savior and has assurance of eternal salvation.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Gennie and Andrew Jackson; brother: Dickey Jackson; brother-in-law: Col. Ola Lee Mize.

He is survived by his son: Heath Bennett Jackson; grandson: Tre Bennett Jackson; sisters: Betty Ruth Mize and Denise (Jack) Cooey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to the Gadsden Fire Department Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to North Glencoe Baptist Church Celebrate Recovery Program, Glencoe, Al.

Family will receive friends at the Church at 10 AM Wednesday.
